40 years of Cooking Vinyl

As we celebrate our 40th anniversary, Cooking Vinyl Chairman Martin Goldschmidt and Managing Director Rob Collins sat down with Music Week to look back at four decades of Cooking Vinyl – from landmark campaigns with The Prodigy and Billy Bragg to Shed Seven’s two No.1 albums in 2024, and plenty more along the way.

They also discuss what’s kept us going for four decades: working with artists we believe in, backing every release and keeping the independent spirit at the heart of what we do.

Now, as part of Exceleration Music and with distribution through Redeye, we have greater global reach and resources while continuing to operate with the independent approach that has defined us for 40 years.
